Blooming Love

Their beautiful love story culminated in a scenic and dreamy Yacht Club wedding on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall, Texas. 

The two were engaged last year at The Arboretum in Dallas and were excited to tie the knot this spring. Katie and Matthew’s families originate from the East Coast and had not been together in awhile due to the pandemic. This gave the wedding an intentional New England garden-party feel to it. The day was exclusive to the couple’s closest friends and family.

The Wedding Day

For Katie and Matthew, choosing to tie the knot at the Yacht Club on Lake Ray Hubbard was a no-brainer. The tranquil waters and picturesque views provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. The couple’s love for the outdoors made it an obvious choice for them.

On their wedding day, the couple exchanged vows on the lawn of the Yacht Club with the sparkling lake waters as their witness. The gentle breeze carried their heartfelt promises, making the ceremony all the more enchanting. As the ceremony ended the couple moved down to the lake’s edge for their wedding portraits.

Following portraits the couple and their guests gathered inside the yacht club for an intimate wedding reception. All afternoon there was laughter, heartfelt toasts, and delicious cuisine.
